Black and white African mudcloth in a bold modern pattern. Is it an abstract zebra or a squiggle? You be the judge!
This fabric is often called "Mud Cloth" but is also known by the name "Bogolan". Created in Mali with handwoven cotton which is dyed with mud...it's simply incredible, and inarguably beautiful.
Due to the handmade nature of this fabric there will be slight variations or imperfections in the weave, and we consider this to be part of the beauty of this fabric. The exact pattern placement will vary from pillow to pillow, but it will be the same scale and general pattern/colour. PLEASE NOTE that "white" mudcloth can range from a pure white to a creamy colour all within one pillow. This is not a mass-produced item, each one is unique.
The finishing touch is the addition of a custom made matte black zipper. They've been made just for us in Los Angeles in one of the last zipper factories left in the USA.
The back of this pillow is made from a high quality black 100% linen fabric, and is finished off with a subtly embossed faux leather Norwegian Wood label.
The pillow case measures 15" x 25". We used a 16" x 26" Ikea pillow in our photos. We find that sizing up 1-2" gives you a fuller look, however this cover will also work with a 15"x25" pillow form.
This listing is for the pillow cover only.
